Terms of Service
Last updated 15 Oct 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bookkeeper, the bookkeeping portal and WhatsApp assistant provided by JS Technology Enterprise ("we", "us"). By signing in or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the business you use it for ("you").
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. The service
Bookkeeper helps businesses keep their books: recording orders, quotations, invoices, deposits, payments and expenses, keeping customer and product records, reconciling bank statements and producing financial reports. Some work can be done by message through a WhatsApp assistant.
We may change, add or remove features over time. Where a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you beforehand.
3. Your account
Accounts are opened for you by us or by the owner of your business on Bookkeeper. You are responsible for:
- keeping your password, and any second sign-in factor, private and secure;
- everything done through your account and through the WhatsApp number registered to it;
- giving access only to people who should have it, and removing access when they should no longer have it;
- telling us promptly at admin@jstechnology.my if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. Your records and responsibilities
You keep ownership of the records you put into Bookkeeper. You give us permission to store and process them only so far as needed to provide the service to you.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you enter, and for meeting your own legal obligations, including tax, e-invoicing, payroll and record-keeping obligations under Malaysian law. Bookkeeper is a tool to help you do this; it is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional.
Figures the service calculates, and any text, summaries or suggestions produced by its automated assistant, should be checked before you rely on them.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, including to record or disguise fraudulent transactions;
- enter personal data about others unless you are entitled to, and have told them as the law requires;
- try to access another business's data, or to probe, disrupt or overload the service;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except as the law allows.
We may suspend access that breaches these Terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
6. Fees
Fees, billing periods and payment terms are as agreed in your subscription. If fees remain unpaid after we have reminded you, we may suspend access until they are paid; your records are kept during a suspension.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep the service available and your records safe, and take regular backups. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
8. Ending the service
You may stop using the service at any time. We may end the service for you on reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these Terms.
When the service ends, you may ask for an export of your records within 30 days. After that we may delete them, except where we must keep them by law.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Malaysian law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in that period.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page and tell you about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
